Sticking out horizontally from a mountain in Norway is a cliff rock with an interesting appearance. Trolltunga, which means“ troll tongue, ” looks like what its name describes: a large tongue-like rock poking outward into the air. This rock overlooks the Hardanger region at a height of about 700 meters. Those who complete the hike are treated to a breathtaking view of the picture-perfect lake Ringedalsvatnet and the Folgefonna glacier. It can be a little frightening, especially for those afraid of heights. However, as proven by the massive increase in annual hikers over the past 10 years, the view is well worth it.
